Nagpur, April 25 -- A 72-year-old woman died after being hit by a speeding car near Traffic Park in the Dharampeth area of Maharashtra's Nagpur city on Saturday, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Mangala Ramdas Kewate, a resident of Hansdhwani Apartments in Khare Town, Dharampeth.
According to police, Kewate was struck by a speeding vehicle near Traffic Park, after which the driver fled the scene without stopping.
She sustained serious injuries in the accident and succumbed during treatment.
