Mumbai, April 21 -- In a political manoeuvre aimed at consolidating the Mahayuti alliance, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has reportedly offered an MLC (Member of Legislative Council) seat to Bachchu Kadu, the firebrand chief of the Prahar Janshakti Party.
The move comes at a critical juncture as political circles are abuzz with talk of a significant cabinet and council reshuffle.
Kadu, a former ally who turned into a vocal critic after losing his seat, has been leading aggressive protests across the state, particularly on issues concerning farmer loan waivers and local governance.
