Thrissur, Sept. 5 -- Eight persons were killed when the car in which they were travelling crashed into a stationary lorry at Panambikunnu Centre near Kaipamangalam in Thrissur district of Kerala early Saturday, police said.
The deceased included seven engineering students and the driver of the car. The students were studying at an engineering college in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. The car had a Tamil Nadu registration.
The accident occurred around midnight when the car was proceeding from Guruvayur towards Kodungallur. The vehicle reportedly crashed into the rear of a lorry that had been parked on the roadside.
