Bengaluru, April 16 -- Eight devotees from Karnataka were killed and 13 others injured in a tragic road accident near Mantralaya in Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool district in the early hours of Thursday.

According to reports, a Bolero vehicle carrying 21 passengers collided with a cement and gravel tanker near Kalludevakunta in Mantralaya taluk. The impact of the collision was severe, leaving the vehicle badly mangled and the tanker overturned.

Six people died on the spot, while two others succumbed to their injuries at a government hospital in Yemmiganur. The injured are currently undergoing treatment at hospitals in Yemmiganur and Kurnool.
