Gopalganj, May 15 -- Police busted a gang involved in duping people on the pretext of doubling money and arrested eight people in connection with the case in Singhasini village under Baikunthpur police area of this Bihar district.

Police Superintendent Vinay Tiwari said here on Friday that a joint team led by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Sidhwalia, along with police personnel from Baikunthpur, Sidhwalia, and Mohammadpur police stations, conducted a raid in the village Thursday night.

During the raid, eight accused were apprehended on the spot. Police also recovered bundles of currency notes, suspected chemicals used in the fraud, and a note-counting machine.
