Hyderabad, Sept. 11 -- Telangana IT and Industry Minister D Sridhar Babu on Friday said the State government was undertaking comprehensive reforms in education with a focus on improving quality, developing skills and ensuring equal opportunities for students.

Initiating a short discussion on " Initiatives in Education" in the Assembly, Sridhar Babu said the government had invested around Rs 29,000 crore over the past two and a half years towards educational infrastructure and institutions. He said 4,100 new pre-primary schools had been established, benefiting around 64,000 children, while breakfast with milk and ragi malt was being provided to students from pre-primary to Class 12.
