Mumbai, April 13 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has begun a detailed investigation into fake godman Ashok Kharat's properties.
For the past few days, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been thoroughly probing this case. Many of the alleged illegal activities carried out by Kharat are being exposed daily, said police sources.
Meanwhile, Ashok Kharat was granted five days of police custody in the third case.
In the fourth case filed against him, involving allegations of sexual assault of a woman, the SIT is expected to again request from court his police custody today.
It is also reported that ED officials have inspected Kharat's office at the Ishaneshwar Temple in Nashik, as well as lands located at various places. For this purp...
