Shillong, June 25 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Shillong Sub Zonal Office, has attached immovable property valued at Rs 40 lakh in connection with its ongoing investigation into the alleged misappropriation of development funds of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) in Meghalaya, an official said on Thursday.
The attached property of Ismail R. Marak, a former member of the GHADC from the Asanang constituency in the West Garo Hills district, was made under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
