Chandigarh, May 18 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday conducted raids at the residence and jewellery shop of a businessman in Punjab's Tarn Taran in connection with an investigation into alleged large-scale bank transactions.
According to sources, ED officials began the search operation in the morning at the house of Kulwant Singh, son of Balwant Singh, located in the Guru Ka Khooh area, as well as at his jewellery establishment situated in Noordi Bazaar.
Officials said the ED team, which arrived in two vehicles, has been examining financial records, bank accounts and transaction details linked to the family. Family members were also questioned during the course of the searches.
