Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 12 -- The CPI has refused to extend immediate political support to CPI(M) leader and Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan over the Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigation into the CMRL-Exalogic pay-off case, deepening differences within the LDF and leaving the CPI(M) on the defensive.
The CPI State Secretariat has decided that a broader discussion on the issue should be held only after examining the developments and information emerging in the case in the coming days, as well as the stand taken by the government.
