Bengaluru, Aug. 23 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Sunday broke open the locked Bengaluru residence of IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar after waiting nearly three hours, as it intensified its probe into alleged irregularities in the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) veterinary officer recruitment case.
The ED team reached Kumar's residence in the Jayamahal area around 1400 hrs but found the flat locked and the officer absent. With his phone reportedly switched off and no access to the premises available, the officials waited for nearly three hours before arranging a duplicate key in the presence of local police, neighbours and government employees.
