Kolkata, April 20 -- The arrested managing director of Sun Enterprises, Joy Kamdar, was produced before a court here on Monday.

Kamdar was arrested on Sunday after an Enforcement Directorate (ED) team raided his residence. He has been charged under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) for being involved in a land scam spread across Bengal, an ED official said.

Sun Enterprises is a real estate company with various businesses.

During an earlier search of Kamdar's premises, ED officials had allegedly recovered cash amounting to Rs 1.2 crore.
