Bhubaneswar, May 21 -- The Khurda Road Division of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has carried out a massive ticket checking drive across its jurisdiction to ensure safe, comfortable and hassle-free travel for genuine passengers.

During the intensive operation, trains passing through different sections were thoroughly inspected by coordinated teams comprising Commercial Officers, ticket checking staff and personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF).

The special enforcement drive was aimed at curbing ticketless and irregular travel while promoting authorised rail travel among passengers.

As part of the exercise, railway officials detected 3,798 cases of ticketless and irregular travel.
