Bhubaneswar, June 30 -- In a major step towards strengthening railway safety, security and surveillance, East Coast Railway (ECoR) has installed more than 500 solar-powered CCTV cameras at vulnerable and strategic locations across its jurisdiction.
The surveillance cameras have been deployed at sensitive and critical points, including station premises, level crossings, marshalling yards, bridges, isolated track stretches and other important railway sections to ensure continuous monitoring of train operations and infrastructure.
