Lucknow, April 9 -- Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter list in Uttar Pradesh conducted by Election Commission of India (ECI) on verification of names in the electoral rolls have been completed and final publication of the voters list would be made on Friday.
According to sources here, final publication of electoral rolls will be made on Friday. As per the assessment, the final list is expected to contain over 132.5 million voters, which will be less by around 20 million voters. Before the SIR there were around 154.4 million voters in UP as per the record of October 27, 2025, the day when SIR commenced.
