Birbhum, April 19 -- The Election Commision of India (ECI) has suspended two Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in Dubrajpur and Mayureswar assembly seats of Birbhum district ahead of the West Bengal Assembly polls.
The ECI acted agains the two officials after receiving specific compliants against both of them, sources said.
While the Dubrajpur BLO was allegedly found distributing booth slips from the local TMC party office, his Mayuerswar counterpart was found roaming in a bi-cycle with a Trinamool Congress flag erected with a stick.
The BJP local unit had sent complaints to the ECI with pictures earlier. The elections in Birbhum district are scheduled for April 23.
