New Delhi, July 14 -- The Election Commission of India on Tuesday announced a revised schedule for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Haryana and Andhra Pradesh, extending the timelines for various stages of the exercise while retaining July 1, 2026, as the qualifying date for voter eligibility. As per the revised programme, the final electoral rolls in both states will now be published on October 3.
The Commission issued separate communications to the Chief Electoral Officers of Haryana and Andhra Pradesh, approving requests from the two states to modify the schedule that had been notified on May 14, 2026.
