Kolkata, March 9 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday held a meeting with recognised national and state political parties in Kolkata to discuss preparations for the upcoming elections in West Bengal, with all parties assuring the poll panel of their cooperation in ensuring violence-free polls.
The meeting was attended by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi, along with the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal and other senior officials of the Commission.
Each political party was allotted 15 minutes to present its views and concerns before the Commission.
