Bengaluru, Aug. 7 -- The Election Commission has bought Karnataka's voters another nine days to establish their electoral identity, extending the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) deadline for the second time amid a massive verification exercise involving 1.11 crore electors flagged under the ASD category.
The Commission on Friday extended the enumeration process from August 8 to August 17, responding to Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer V Anbukumar's request for additional time to digitise enumeration forms and ensure eligible voters are included in the draft electoral roll.
