New Delhi, Nov. 2 -- The Election Commission of India has intensified its preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, undertaking a high-level review of election management, administrative readiness and security arrangements across 18 districts spread over four administrative divisions.
The review meeting was held in Meerut on Monday, under the chairmanship of Senior Deputy Election Commissioner Manish Garg. The meeting was attended by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer, senior officials of the EC and senior administrative and police officers from the Meerut, Saharanpur, Moradabad and Aligarh divisions.
