Patna, Sept. 8 -- Jan Suraaj Party state president Manoj Bharti said Tuesday that the Election Commission itself should prepare the electoral rolls for the proposed Bihar Legislative Council elections to eliminate the possibility of discrepancies and provide candidates adequate time to prepare for the polls.
Addressing a press conference here, Bharti said elections to four Graduate and four Teachers' constituencies of the Council were likely to be held in the next one to two months.
Under the existing system, candidates have to play a role in the process of getting electoral rolls prepared for these constituencies, he said and pointed out that during the previous exercise, November 15, 2025 was fixed as the deadline for submission of elec...
