Guwahati, July 3 -- The 135th edition of the Durand Cup will begin with Indian football's biggest rivalry as Mohun Bagan Super Giant take on East Bengal FC in the opening match at Kolkata's Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan on July 25.
The Durand Cup Organising Committee announced the full fixture list on Friday, confirming that the tournament will run from July 25 to August 23. A total of 24 teams, divided into six groups, will compete across five host cities - Kolkata, Ranchi, Imphal, Shillong and Guwahati.
The competition will feature Indian Super League clubs, I-League sides, Services teams, regional clubs and international participation, continuing the tradition of Asia's oldest football tournament.
