New Delhi, Sept. 9 -- Ishan Kishan and Shikhar Mohan struck half-centuries as East Zone moved within touching distance of the Duleep Trophy title, extending their lead over SouthZone to 584 runs at the end of the fourth day at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday.
Kishan fell 20 short of a second century in the match, but his contribution took his aggregate to 350 runs after his first innings score of 270. Earlier, Tilak Varma had also fallen agonisingly short of a hundred, dismissed for 99 as East Zone added 94 runs to their overnight total while losing their final four wickets.
