Nottingham, June 26 -- Ben Duckett produced one of the finest counter-attacking centuries of his Test career to wrest the initiative for England after Ben Stokes' incisive spell triggered a New Zealand collapse on an absorbing second day of the third Test at Trent Bridge on Friday.
Duckett's dazzling 113 off just 99 balls, studded with 19 fours, transformed the contest after England dismissed New Zealand for 438. At stumps, the hosts had raced to 223 for 2 in only 45 overs, trailing by 215 runs but with Jacob Bethell unbeaten on 74 and Joe Root on 21, firmly placing the momentum in England's favour.
