Jammu, April 30 -- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday said that drug trafficking and narcotics smuggling will be dealt with in the same stringent manner as terrorism, calling the drug trade a "silent form of terrorism" that is destroying youth and weakening society.

Sinha, who launched the Drug-Free Jammu and Kashmir Campaign in Doda district to rally citizens against narcotics, said while addressing the gathering that the people's movement against drug abuse reflects their determination and unity, and that this menace can be eliminated when communities rise together and speak with one voice.
