New Delhi, June 22 -- Issuing a yellow alert, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rains accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning over parts of Delhi on Monday.
Over the next three hours, until 6:15 pm, light showers are expected in parts of New Delhi, South West Delhi, West Delhi, North West Delhi and North Delhi, according to IMD's district-wise forecast.
Sustained surface wind speeds of 30-40 kmph are expected to blow over the national capital, gusting up to 50 kmph, said the IMD officials.
