Kakinada, June 30 -- A driver was killed on the spot when two lorries collided, head on, along Kakinada- Samalkot road in the early hours of Tuesday, police said.
A container lorry with a load of motorcycles from Kolkata was proceeding to Kakinada when a trailer lorry coming in the reverse direction to Samalkot collided with it. The container lorry driver was killed.
Sub-inspector Adapa Garagarao along with his staff rushed from Samalkot to the spot and regulated other vehicular movement preventing a traffic jam.
The Samalkot police have registered a case and shifted the body to Kakinada Government General Hospital for postmortem.
