Hyderabad, May 20 -- Officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Hyderabad Zonal Unit, seized 8.705 kilograms of high-grade hydroponic ganja valued at around Rs 3.05 crore at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) and arrested two Indian passengers arriving from Bangkok.

According to the DRI statement on Wednesday, the passengers were intercepted on May 19 based on specific intelligence inputs after they arrived at the Hyderabad airport.

During a detailed examination of their check-in baggage, officers recovered 24 black-coloured packets containing a greenish lumpy substance with a sharp pungent odour. The packets had been cleverly concealed inside insulated water bottles, a potato snack tin, multiple food tins, plastic...
