New Delhi, June 12 -- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday called upon the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to accelerate the transition from research and development to large-scale production, asserting that technological superiority alone is not sufficient to ensure success in modern warfare.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Advanced Weapon System Complex at the Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) in Hyderabad, Singh said India was passing through a crucial phase of defence modernisation as rapid technological advancements continue to reshape the nature of warfare.
