New Delhi, Sept. 10 -- India's perimeter security architecture is likely to undergo a major transformation over the next decade, with physical barriers gradually giving way to electronic, space-based and AI-driven systems, Dr B K Das, Director General, Electronics & Communication Systems, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), said today.
Addressing the fourth edition of INDIA FENCE EXPO 2026 at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, Das said future security systems would increasingly rely on spectrum dominance, satellites, space-based assets, networked environments and artificial intelligence rather than conventional physical fencing.
