Raipur, June 23 -- Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday offered heartfelt floral tributes to the portrait of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, an eminent educationist, India's first Minister of Industry, and a revered nationalist thinker, on the solemn occasion of his Balidan Diwas (Day of Sacrifice) at the Chief Minister's residence in Raipur.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sai described Dr Mukherjee as the guardian of India's unity, integrity, and national pride.
"Holding the nation's interests above all else, he dedicated his entire life to the service of the motherland. His profound thoughts, lifelong struggles, and supreme sacrifice remain an invaluable heritage for Indian democracy and nationalist ideology," he said.
