Bengaluru, July 30 -- Karnataka stepped up its battle against the Cauvery Water Regulation Committee's (CWRC) directive to release water to Tamil Nadu on Thursday, with Chief Minister DK Shivakumar convening an all-party meeting on Sunday as the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) heard the state's objections in New Delhi.
The all-party meeting, scheduled for 11 am at the Chief Minister's official residence 'Krishna', will bring together former chief ministers, MPs from the Cauvery basin, leaders of political parties, senior bureaucrats and water resources experts to formulate Karnataka's next course of action, depending on the CWMA's decision.
