Thiruvananthapuram, April 6 -- In a sharp escalation of poll rhetoric ahead of the Kerala Assembly elections, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar today alleged a "secret understanding" between the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing both of working in tandem to avoid corruption probes and political scrutiny.
Addressing a press conference at the KPCC office here, Shivakumar claimed that central agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate, CBI, and Income Tax Department have been aggressively targeting opposition-ruled states while remaining "suspiciously inactive" in Kerala.
