Mumbai, Aug. 3 -- The Bombay High Court on Monday questioned the Mumbai Police over its decision not to register an FIR after Satish Salian, father of late celebrity manager Disha Salian, expressed doubts over the circumstances surrounding his daughter's death.
A division bench of Justices Bharati H Dangre and Manjusha A Deshpande was hearing a petition filed by Satish Salian seeking registration of an FIR and a fresh probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the death in 2020.
The bench questioned why the matter continued to be treated as an Accidental Death Report (ADR) instead of a criminal investigation despite the family raising suspicions over the circumstances of the death.
