Edinburgh, June 5 -- Bangladesh opener Dilara Akter broke a record that has been held for more than six years to help her side to victory in their tri-series clash against the Netherlandsahead of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup.

Dilara smashed a half-century from just 22 deliveries - the equal ninth fastest ever in women's T20Is - to surpass the previous quickest by a Bangladesh woman from Rumana Ahmed against Pakistan in Lahore in 2019 when she achieved the feat in 28 balls.
