New Delhi, Aug. 4 -- Almost three weeks after winning a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, two-time Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra will return to action at the Lausanne Diamond League (Athletissima) on August 21, where he is set to face another world-class javelin field.
The Lausanne meet will be Chopra's third competition since returning from the lower-back injury that sidelined him in September last year. The 28-year-old began his comeback with a fourth-place finish at the Doha Diamond League in June, throwing 85.69m, before improving to a season-best 85.83m to clinch the silver medal at the Commonwealth Games.
