Srinagar, May 17 -- Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday strongly advocated renewed dialogue with Pakistan. She also appreciated connecting with the people of Jammu and Kashmir, saying the time has come to "heal the wounds" of the region and restore confidence among the people.
Talking to reporters in Srinagar, Mehbooba welcomed recent remarks by a senior leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, favouring talks with Pakistan, terming them a "positive development".
"It is a very good thing to talk to Pakistan. The routes connecting Srinagar should be reopened and the reconciliation should begin again from Jammu and Kashmir," she said.
