Dhanbad, May 22 -- IIT (ISM) Dhanbad alumnus Deveshi Singh has won a theme award at the AI for Bharat 2 Hackathon, held during the PanIIT Bangalore Summit 2026, for developing an artificial intelligence-based platform aimed at accelerating catalyst discovery for cleaner energy and waste utilisation.
A 2025 B.Tech graduate in Engineering Physics, Singh developed "IndicAI", an AI-driven platform under the theme "AI Platform for Molecular Discovery in Chemical Catalysis and Synthetic Biology". The platform is designed to accelerate the discovery of catalysts capable of converting carbon dioxide into methanol, supporting cleaner fuel production and carbon utilisation.
