Dhaka, Aug. 13 -- Taking their growing partnership further, Bangladesh and Pakistan have inked a commercial agreement under which Islamabad will export locally assembled passenger vehicles to Bangladesh. However, the deal has led to questions over whether the vehicles can compete on safety, quality, price, reliability and after-sales service with cars from India, Japan and South Korea.
The agreement was signed on July 31, 2026, between MG JW Automobile Pakistan and Bangladesh's RANCON Group, and marks the first large-scale passenger car export agreement in Pakistan's automotive history.
