Srinagar, June 23 -- J&K's Director General of Police (DGP), Nalin Prabhat, on Tuesday directed all security agencies to further strengthen the security grid for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, with special focus on vulnerable points along the pilgrimage route, National Highway and railway infrastructure.
The directions were issued during a security review meeting chaired by the DGP at the Police Control Room Kashmir to assess preparedness for the annual pilgrimage.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of the Army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), intelligence agencies and J&K Police, including Army's General Officers Commanding (GOCs) of 15, 16 and 9 Corps, senior CRPF, BSF, ITBP, SSB and CISF officials, zonal and rang...
