Chennai, Oct. 19 -- The office of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Chennai, on Monday flagged off a major consignment of gems and jewellery to New Zealand, on the eve of India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA) coming into force.
Ms.Rajalakshmi Devaraj, Additional DGFT, formally flagged off the inaugural shipment, valued at Rs. 63,78,753, manufactured by M/s.Emerald Jewel Industry India Limited. Representatives from the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and key industry stakeholders participated in the event.
