Shillong, June 12 -- The overall development of the entire Northeast, including Meghalaya, is a priority for the Narendra Modi government, union Minister of State Shantanu Thakur said on Friday.
Addressing a news conference here in Meghalaya along with senior state BJP leaders, he highlighted the achievements and developmental initiatives undertaken by the Central government over the past 12 years.
Prime Minister Modi has consistently envisioned inclusive development reaching every corner of the Northeast, Thakur said.
The NDA government has provided "unprecedented opportunities" for growth in the North East, leading to significant progress across various sectors, he said.
