Chandigarh, Sept. 16 -- Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh returned to Rohtak's Sunaria jail on Wednesday after completing a 21-day furlough, ending his third temporary release from prison this year.
Ram Rahim left the Dera headquarters in Sirsa shortly after 2 pm in a convoy of vehicles accompanied by police personnel and headed for Sunaria jail, where he is serving sentences following his convictions in criminal cases.
His latest furlough was his 17th temporary release from prison since 2020, according to published reports. He had walked out of Sunaria jail on August 25 after being granted 21 days and travelled to the sect's headquarters in Sirsa.
