Pune, May 2 -- Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar visited Dhayari in Pune today and met the parents of the four-year-old rape-murder victim, even as the Maharashtra goverment has ordered that the case be tried in a fast-track court.

She said the incident that occurred in Nasrapur is very unfortunate, shocking to society, and a stain on humanity.

She consoled the family and interacted with them. She assured them that the government stands firmly behind them and that strict action will be taken against the inhuman accused.

During the visit, Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar contacted Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis over the phone from the site and informed him about the entire incident.
