Chennai, Sept. 22 -- The Depression over the bay has intensified into a Deep Depression over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal and it is likely to cross the North Andhra and South Odisha coasts either by tomorrow night.
In a latest update tonight, the Met office said the Depression over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal, moved west-northwestwards with a speed of seven kmph during the past six hours, and intensified into a Deep Depression.
It lay centred at 1730 hrs of today over the same region about 140 km east-southeast of Kalingapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), 150 kmsouth-southeast of Gopalpur (Odisha), 210 km south-southwest of Puri (Odisha), and 220 km east of Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh).
