Pune, Aug. 28 -- The makers of Marathi film 'Deool Band 2', which has achieved a major milestone at the box office by crossing the Rs 100-crore mark, have decided to channel the earnings towards social initiatives, particularly for the education of children of farmers who allegedly died by suicide.

According to director Pravin Tarde, the entire profit earned after recovering the film's production cost is being allocated to the education of such children, with special attention to those from drought-hit regions. The initiative aims to help students continue their education despite financial difficulties.

The film's success is also supporting a food initiative under which nearly 250 children are being provided two meals a day, Tarde said. ...
