Varanasi, March 29 -- On Sunday, demolition operations commenced in Varanasi's Dalmandi area under the supervision of drones and security forces drawn from multiple police stations-as part of a project to widen and strengthen the Dalmandi road.
Several officials from the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Police Department are present at the site to oversee the proceedings.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Dr. Atul Anjan Tripathi stated that barricades have been erected to restrict public movement in the area. In addition to the regular police force, paramilitary troops have also been deployed.
