Hyderabad, April 17 -- BJP National Council Member Marri Shashidhar Reddy on Friday asserted that the current proposal on women's reservation and delimitation would address concerns raised by southern states and ensure balanced representation.
Addressing a press meet at the BJP state office, he said the proposal does not alter the existing allocation of Lok Sabha seats based on the 1971 census, but instead increases the total number of seats by 50 per cent to accommodate 33 per cent reservation for women.
