New Delhi, Oct. 2 -- Stepping up its efforts against traffic violations and to ensure safety on roads, the Delhi Traffic Police conducted a special enforcement drive across the national capital on Thursday, and as a result a total of 154 buses had been fined for different violations.
Additional Commissioner of Traffic Police, Dinesh Kumar Gupta, (Traffic Zone-ll), said on Friday that focused enforcement action was taken against traffic violations committed by buses, with more emphasis on dangerous and unauthorised driving practices that pose a serious risk to the safety of other road users and contribute to road accidents and traffic congestion.
