New Delhi, Aug. 18 -- Delhi is set to expand its clean public transport network with 200 new electric buses, a Delhi-Karnal interstate e-bus service and 56 Ladies Special buses, Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh said on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will also inaugurate a high-capacity public electric vehicle charging station at the Delhi Transport Corporation's Rajghat depot as part of the initiatives, Singh said.
The developments are aimed at strengthening Delhi's public transport infrastructure and accelerating the city's transition towards clean and sustainable mobility.
According to Singh, the induction of 200 new electric buses will take Delhi's overall bus fleet to around 6,800, comprising 4,938 electric buses and 1,750 ...
